We leverage the Dataverse WEB API to perform a backup and restore of your Dynamics data.
As a best practice, we recommend having a dedicated user provisioned specifically for the application. This should be enabled to enhance security and audit log capabilities, as well as assist to avoid API concurrency collisions, and other problems that may occur due to with the same user issues.
For the authentication user to be applicable for backup and recovery in Dynamics 365, they have to be assigned the System Administrator security role in the destination environment.
*Authenticated User = The user that our platform uses to connect to the client's Dataverse environment.
