Field Is Not Encrypting When Using the PEA

    This article provides troubleshooting steps for when a field does not encrypt while using the Platform Encryption Analyzer feature.

    1. Check for an email from Salesforce containing a reason for the failure.
    2. Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
    3. Search for Encryption Policy.
    4. Select Encrypt Fields.
    5. Check for additional information. If it is a standard field, try to encrypt the field from this page. For custom fields, navigate to the Object Manager and try to encrypt it from the field detail page.
