Starting from summer 16’, Enhanced Email is automatically enabled for most organizations except those using Email-to-Case. Organizations using Email-to-Case were also required to manually enable additional actions.
The Enhanced email feature has changed the data model of the emails. Email is represented in both the EmailMessage object and the Task of type ”Email”. The task is not visible in the Salesforce UI.
