Restoring Converted Leads

    Clients may inadvertently convert leads prior to their qualification and wish to restore them to their previous status.  Unfortunately, Salesforce will not allow users to restore leads, and users are left with unwanted Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities.  With our application, there is a simple workaround to get those leads back to the previous status.

    Do the following:

    1. Ensure the leads are backed up prior to conversion.
    2. Back up data after conversions.
    3. Delete the Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities created by the lead conversion.
    4. Delete Converted Leads using the Mass Delete Option. (Filter on Converted equals True).
    5. Empty the Salesforce Recycle Bin.
    6. Force another Backup of your Salesforce Org.
    7. Restore Lead records from the snapshot created prior to conversion.
