Field Count Mismatch between Secure Feature Tabs

This article provides an overview of which fields are shown on each feature tab.

Data Classification

• Displays almost all fields in an Org, except for the following:
  • Non-customizable fields.
  • Fields from expired or unlicensed packages.
  • Specific fields:
    • Email Message: AttachmentIDs
    • List Email: SentVia
    • Campaign: ShowCampMembChart
    • Event: Attendees
    • Event: ActivityRecurrence2ID
    • Event: ActivityRecurrence2ExceptionID
    • Lead: LastModifiedByID
    • Lead: CreateByID
  • Specific system fields:
    • ID Fields
    • Last Modified Date
    • Last Referenced Date
    • Last Viewed Date
    • Last Activity Date
    • System Modstamp
    • Created Date
    • Is Deleted

Platform Encryption Analyzer

• Displays fields that apply to Shield Platform Encryption. The following fields are ignored:
  • Fields that do not contain sensitive information.
  • Application and platform configuration settings that do not contain sensitive information.
  • Fields Salesforce does not provide encryption support for, such as:
    • Data Type: RecordTypeID
    • Data Type: AutoNumber
    • Data Type: Non-sensitive Lookups
    • Data Type: Non-sensitive Master-detail
    • Data Type: Hierarchy
    • Object: Custom Settings
    • Object: Custom Metadata
    • Object: Platform Events

History Retention Policy Manager

• Displays fields that are supported by the Shield Field Audit Trail.
• Displays objects with fields that can be tracked from the Setup menu.

Who Sees What Explorer

• Displays objects and fields that apply to Field-Level Security (FLS), “Create, Read, Update, and Delete” (CRUD), and access.
