OwnBackup generates email notifications for many events. These event notifications can be mapped to your incident management or on-call management alerts. The field that must be mapped is the Email Subject field.
The subject header for notification emails which may require action always contains the text "Notification about your backup".
Some notification emails are for information purposes only, others require action. A description of the error or warning and whether action is required, are described in the email body.
Warning notification emails are generated for the following reasons:
Notification about your backup
Did not complete successfully because of an error, we might need your help to resolve the issue.
Failed for three consecutive attempts due to an error, we might need your help to resolve the issue
Did not complete successfully. The source of the issue may be temporary, no action is required
Today's backup completed successfully and the last temporary error is now resolved
The recent manual backup did not complete successfully. The issue may be temporary, no action is required
Did not complete successfully. The issue is related to an authentication error (invalid oAuth token), but may be a temporary issue, no action is required
Did not complete successfully again. The second time the backup has failed because of an authentication error, we need your help to resolve the issue. Usually due to:

OwnBackup Retention Policy Update Notification
A change has been made to the retention policy

Note: Warning notifications are based on the entire backup and NOT single objects in a backup.
